Day Eleven, same as Seven – died and gone to heaven

The holiday is coming to an end, this is my last post for this series.  Jen is still not well but soldiering on, she stayed home whilst we all went skiing.  Another Bluebird day, going up the mountain we are discussing what our plans are and Neil said that he needed a warm up on Meadows before conquering the top of the mountain.  Whilst we were getting suited and booted, Neil changed his mind and said he would go all the way to the top.  Boy was he glad he did, he had the ski of his life down and will dine out on that performance for a while – he was awesome dude, fully sic!

After the ride down the hill, Neil was going to stop for a coffee and normally you stop in the snow, take your skis off, rest them in a rack and walk into the coffee shop.  I missed this but according to Neil he nearly skied into the coffee shop, he was going so fast and didn’t stop.

Sue was having ski trouble and didn’t have her best day but she soldiered on like a little duracell finishing with a good ski on meadows.

Sid, still recovering from a bad cough and lack of sleep skied pretty darn well in my opinion.  He was in charge of securing the table inside!

John and I had the best ski’s of our lives.  He was very happy with his confidence and skiing and he looked pretty good as well.  I on the other hand seemed to have lost my fear of going fast, I had the confidence to point the skis downhill and had so much fun.  I just want to come back – I think I had the equivalent of 44 points today – or at least I felt like I did.
