Day 14 – The Algarve

Last day together, everyone is in the pool, packing a little with a hint of sadness but lots of re-living the holidays joviality, pranks, and general good times.  It is hard to have 9 people in each others hair for 2 weeks and not get irritated – but I can truly say that not once have I been wanting peace and quiet.

We have loved having in-depth conversations with Sam, more about golf and my retirement plans to play the seniors golf tour.  Money and shares, investments strategies with Uncle John.

Patty is the same as usual, vibrant, fun loving, easy going, adventurous and always with a smile on her face watching her family get on so well.

Rich, the entertainer – always joking around, making us laugh, singing opera from the balcony, synchronised swimming and play pirates with Jack.  Really great spending time with you Rich (if you ever read this).

Caz, “miss mop” mother of Jack. Great to get to spend time with you, get to know you better – making me regret that we don’t talk more often,  definitely will after this trip. I loved our chats and secret woman’s business meetings.  The water bombs and having another practical person around for the mending jobs.  Love you and thanks for the great time.

Jack, Jack, Jack – what can I say.  You are a miracle, you have struggled in life from the moment you were born and you impress us both with your determination, courage and fight.  We have loved getting to know you little man – even though you kept bombing us.  Your swimming is great – make sure you keep it up and most important keep practicing your putting.

Nick and Daph – thanks for taking the time out to come and visit us, it was great to see you and spend time with you.  Nick thanks for the entertaining footage on the video of the Lilo race.

Bob and Gillybean – thanks for coming and spending time with us.  Being so great with the kids and generous with gifts for us all.  We still have a few more days with you – so not too much mush now.  Love you.

We ended with a game of mini golf, with Caz and I tying for first place!  Yee Hah! and a beautiful dinner courtesy of Bob and Gill.

Last but by no means least, John.  I am so lucky to have met you and thank you for organising a fantastic holiday.  Love you.

Now we head off to Lisbon with Bob and Gill. I will leave you with this video.
