Lisbon to Dubai

Up early, pack and explore Alfama on foot after a hearty breakfast.  We were feeling great after our first night in 2 weeks on a decent mattress and pillows, bliss!

Alfama was all up hill, but very similar to the explore of Chiada yesterday – except no-one was up and the shops weren’t open, sorry Jen, Mum, Trace and Kirst – the souvenirs that I wanted to buy you I couldn’t until we where in the car and there was no way we were going to stop on those narrow streets.

Off to the airport early to try and get an emergency exit seat – sadly no success, so squishy seats for the 8½ hour flight to Dubai. Journey to Airport was uneventful – with John now a dab hand at driving in Lisbon.  Checked in, had some lunch and it was time to take the 30 minute walk to the gate – yes, no typo 30 mins.

Did we make Patty laugh? No, she wouldn’t answer our FaceTime calls.
