2015 US Masters – what is so special

What is so special about this tournament;

  1. It is the 2nd best golf tournament in the world (Yes, I am of the view the British Open is the ultimate Mens Pro Championship.
  2. It is supposed to be the best course for spectators (or “patrons” as we are called.)
  3. It is Ben Crenshaw’s last Masters tournament as a player, 20 years after he won his last title.
  4. Augusta National looks amazing on television, I want to see if it looks as good in person.
  5. Aussie, Aussie, Aussie, Oi, Oi, Oi – I think it is Jason’s turn.
  6. The only way of me getting to see the course is via the Masters.

Some UFI about the Masters;

  1. The winner gets approx $1.6M, not bad for a weeks work.
  2. Each Masters winner becomes an honorary member of the club
  3. Winners keep their jacket for the first year after their first victory, then return it to the club to wear whenever they visit.
  4. The defending champion, as host, selects the menu for the Champions dinner.
  5. The Masters requires caddies to wear a uniform consisting of a white jumpsuit, a green Masters cap, and white tennis shoes.
  6. he defending champion always receives caddy number “1”
  7. The golf course was formerly a plant nursery and each hole is named after the tree or shrub with which it has become associated

Will it live up to my very high expectations?  Cant wait to find out..  Here are some images of the course, once I have seen it I will give more context to the photos.
