John and I were playing golf at Vale do Lobo, the rest of the gang were going to the beach for the morning. It is another gorgeous day, all the family are still getting on well and there have been no fall outs.
Vale do Lobo golf is a short drive from the Villa, we parked the car and no one greeted us to take our clubs, heaven forbid we had to do it ourselves. The course was absolutely gorgeous, very mature and quite obviously where the money is. The houses on the golf course were like no others that I have seen before, I lie – I have seen them in magazines. One of them had a cantilever infinity pool, over a ground level pool. White and pristine, with glass walls and marble tiles. It plays quite long and has many holes (at least 6) that would have an elevation of 50 to 60 metres. There are a number of blind holes that open up to fantastic vistas of the ocean and beach.
Some photos of the golf course.
The golf was good again, surprise surprise, 36 points off the Mens tees (which was rated for Ladies). John was a close second with 34, after having 20 points on the front 9 with a wipe. yikes!
Then a leisurely lunch at the Spikes bar in Vale do Lobo, oh my goodness – I think footballers wives was being filmed there was some serious totty there! Then home after a failed attempt at trying to find a hardware store.
Why a hardware store – I hear you ask! Jack wasn’t tall enough for most of the rides at the water park and they had to queue for an hour for some rides, I had this brilliant idea during the middle of the night. If we get a long piece of plastic and we have a large garden here, with a slope. All we have to do is put the hose on it and some dish washing liquid and we can have our own water park – without height restrictions. BUT we couldn’t find a hardware store – so the brain went into action… The villa has a long dining table which is covered with this plastic table cloth – perfectly shaped for a water slide. I find two other round table clothes – perfect. It was so much fun, Caz was mortified that I dared use the table cloth and she thought here goes the deposit! I am pleased to report that no tablecloths were injured during the making of this video…
Now we have our own Crazy Golf and Water Slide – I mean what a fantastic holiday Villa.
Did we make Patty laugh? Yes, we were reminiscing about certain family bloopers which had us all belly laughing.
